Poetry Workshop

This poetry workshop is for folks interested in reading a variety of poems, expanding their writing through weekly prompts and strategies, and receiving creative support from a community of writers. Each week, we will complete writing exercises, explore poems from a diverse group of famous and emerging poets, share some of our work for feedback, and get to know each other better. Whether you have never drafted a poem or are ready to take your poetry to the next level, this workshop is for you! 

About the Instructor: Gillian Ferguson, originally from Grinnell, is studying creative writing at Oberlin College located in Oberlin, Ohio. She is interested in writing poetry, short stories, plays, and children’s books. Two of her plays have been produced, and one of her poems has been published.
