Beginner School of Sewing

Tuesdays, 6:-7:30pm

Ages: 18+

This four-session class is perfect for beginners and intermediate beginners. We will cover the very basics of machine sewing, from threading machines to picking appropriate fabrics for projects to learning how to use sewing tools. We will work on a project from the recommended book during each session. You are welcome to bring your own machine as long as it’s in good working order, or you may reserve one of the Art Center’s sewing machines.

Choose from the lined drawstring bag, simple strings apron, zipper pouch or the essential tote bag.

Recommended Supplies:

• Book: School of Sewing by Shea Henderson (Available through Amazon and most book sellers)
• Basic sewing kit including thread
• Fabric for projects

Please note: masks are currently required in Arts Council facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
