Strengthen your knowledge of sewing techniques, and take your sewing to the next level! This 5-week sewing class focuses on basic sewing techniques for garment making. It is geared toward all levels of sewers, although a working knowledge of a sewing machine is needed. The techniques include seam finishes, zippers, and hems. Students will create a binder of techniques and samples for their future use. A supply kit will be provided to each student including fabric, zippers, and instruction pages. Students need to bring a three-ring binder and dark thread. Sewing machines are available, but students are welcome to bring their own.
If you are unsure if this class is for you, please contact Lee Smith for questions and additional information at 641-990-7027 or thatsewingplace@gmail.com.
Cancellation policy: Registrants may cancel their enrollment 48 hours (2 days) before a class begins for a refund or credit. After this deadline, no refund or credit is available. GAAC/The Stew reserves the right to cancel classes due to a minimum enrollment not being met. In that event, participants will be notified and will be able to choose between a refund or credit for a future class.
